Yes, name transfers are available up until August 10, 2026. To transfer your ticket, log in to your Ticket Star Japan account, go to "My Tickets," and select the "Transfer Ticket" option. You'll need the new holder's full name and email address. A transfer fee of ¥500 applies per ticket. After August 10, tickets are locked to the original buyer's name and cannot be transferred.
Golden River Veil Fest is open to all ages. However, attendees aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult (18+) at all times. Children aged 12 and under enter free when accompanied by a paying adult (maximum 2 children per adult). Proof of age may be requested at entry. VIP areas are restricted to attendees 20 and over (Japanese legal drinking age).
Any valid government-issued photo ID is accepted — passport, driver's licence, Japanese My Number Card, or residence card. The name on your ID must match the name on your ticket. Student IDs and store loyalty cards are not accepted as proof of identity. Digital ID apps are not currently accepted — please bring a physical document.
Yes! Once you have collected your wristband at the entry gate, you are free to leave and re-enter the site as many times as you like throughout the same festival day. Present your wristband at the re-entry gate. Wristbands are water-resistant, tamper-evident, and must not be removed. Do not allow anyone else to use your wristband — it is non-transferable once applied.
Early Bird tickets are sold out. General Admission and GA+Camping tickets are still available while stock lasts. VIP tickets are nearly sold out — only a small allocation remains. Day tickets for individual days are available for all three days. We strongly recommend booking now to avoid disappointment. All tickets are available through Ticket Star Japan.
Unfortunately, all ticket sales are final and no refunds are available unless the festival is cancelled or significantly altered by the organiser. In the event of festival cancellation due to extreme weather or circumstances beyond our control, a partial refund of the base ticket price (excluding booking fees) will be processed within 30 days. Name transfers are available as an alternative — see above.
Yes! Camping ticket holders (GA+Camping and VIP) may arrive from noon on Thursday, August 14 to set up their campsite. Gates open at 12:00 on August 14. You will need to show your festival ticket and camping confirmation at the camping entrance. The main festival programme begins at 12:00 on Friday, August 15. There is no access to stages or festival zones on the setup day.
There is no weight limit for camping gear. You may bring tents, sleeping bags, camping chairs, folding tables, and other camping equipment. However, please be mindful of other campers' space. Each camping pitch is approximately 4m x 4m. Generators, gas cookers with propane canisters larger than 200ml, and open fires outside designated bonfire areas are not permitted in the camping zones.
Open fires and campfires are not permitted on individual pitches due to fire safety regulations. However, we have three designated bonfire areas in the camping zones where communal fires are lit each evening from 20:00–24:00, managed by our safety team. Portable gas stoves (with canisters 200ml or under) are permitted for cooking within your pitch area, provided they are used with care and not left unattended.
GA+Camping ticket holders have access to shared shower facilities in Zone A and Zone C — open 06:00–22:00 daily. Expect queues during peak morning hours (08:00–10:00). VIP campers in Zone B have access to dedicated private shower blocks with more capacity. All camping zones have toilet facilities open 24 hours. Additional porta-loos are placed around the camping perimeter.
August in Shonan is peak Japanese summer — expect temperatures between 28°C and 32°C during the day, with high humidity around 65–75%. The UV index is very high, so SPF50+ sunscreen is essential and should be reapplied every 2 hours. Evening temperatures drop pleasantly to around 22–25°C. There is approximately a 25% chance of brief rain showers on any given day — bring a lightweight rain poncho. Typhoon risk is low for mid-August but be prepared.
Small personal snacks (energy bars, fruit, onigiri) are permitted. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited and will be confiscated at entry. Non-alcoholic drinks may be brought in reusable containers (500ml or under, non-glass). The festival has over 50 food stalls and multiple beverage vendors — including non-alcoholic options — so there is plenty to eat and drink on site. Free water refill stations are located throughout the grounds.
Yes! There are 3 ATMs on the festival grounds — located near the main entrance, at the Food Village, and near Camping Zone B. ATM fees may apply depending on your bank. We strongly recommend loading up your festival cashless wristband (the GRV Wristband Pay system) at the information booth — it links to your credit card or cash deposit and lets you pay at all vendors without carrying cash. Most stalls also accept PayPay and IC cards.
Yes, prescription medication is permitted. Please declare it at the entry gate and carry it in its original labelled container, along with a copy of your prescription or doctor's note if possible. This helps our entry staff and medical team assist you efficiently if needed. Controlled substances brought into Japan must comply with Japanese import regulations — please check requirements with the Japanese Embassy before travelling if you are concerned.
Yes. All main pathways, stages, food areas, and facilities are accessible to wheelchair users. Dedicated paved accessible routes (marked with blue signage) run throughout the entire site, avoiding sand and rough terrain. Elevated wheelchair viewing platforms are available at Main Stage and Beach Stage — these areas are reserved exclusively for wheelchair users and one companion each and do not require additional booking, just arrive at the accessible entry point marked on the map.
Yes, we have two designated Calm Zones on site — one near the Forest Stage area and one in the far east of the camping zone. These areas have reduced noise, soft seating, water mist cooling fans, and welfare volunteers on hand. They are perfect for those who need a sensory break, are feeling overwhelmed, or simply need a quiet moment. These zones are open to all attendees, no special pass required.
Accessible toilet cubicles are located at every toilet block on site. Each zone has at least one fully accessible toilet. These are all spacious, clean, and maintained throughout the day. Additionally, accessible changing facilities are available at the Medical Station near the main entrance. If you need assistance locating accessible facilities, ask any orange-vested volunteer.
Yes. Attendees with a disability support pension, disability welfare certificate, or equivalent documentation may apply for a 50% discount on one ticket. Their essential carer or personal assistant receives a free companion ticket. Please contact our accessibility team at access@goldenriverveil.com with supporting documentation to apply. Discounted tickets are limited and should be requested as early as possible.
Absolutely. Our main Medical Station is staffed 24/7 throughout the festival by qualified doctors, nurses, and paramedics. Satellite first-aid points are also stationed near each stage. The Medical Station is located near the main entrance and is clearly signposted with a red cross. In addition to physical first aid, mental health welfare support is available at the Welfare Tent (green cross sign) near the Medical Station. Emergency number on site: 0120-GRV-MED.
Head to the Lost & Found desk, located at the Info Booth near the main entrance. It is staffed from 09:00 until one hour after the last performance each night. Items handed in by fellow attendees are stored here. If you lose something after the festival, contact us within 14 days at lost@goldenriverveil.com — we hold all unclaimed items for 30 days after the final festival day before donating to charity.
Go immediately to the Info Booth at the main entrance or alert any orange-vested volunteer. We have a comprehensive Lost Child protocol — a child who is found alone will be taken to the designated Family Meeting Point near the Info Booth, which is staffed at all times. We recommend agreeing on a meeting point with your group before arriving, and noting the on-site emergency number in your phone: 0120-GRV-SEC.
Heat-related illness is our biggest medical concern during August festivals. If you feel dizzy, nauseous, have stopped sweating, or feel confused, these may be signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke — seek medical help immediately. Move to a shaded, cool area, drink water, and alert any volunteer or security staff who will radio for medical assistance. Do not wait to see if symptoms pass. Prevention: wear a hat, reapply sunscreen, drink at least 500ml of water per hour, and use the free cool-down misting stations located at each stage.
We're committed to achieving zero waste at Golden River Veil Fest 2026. All single-use plastics have been banned from the site — food vendors are required to use compostable or reusable packaging. A comprehensive on-site recycling and composting system covers all waste streams. We are targeting a 90% waste diversion rate. Our energy is supplied through a combination of solar, battery storage, and certified renewable grid power.
Yes! Bringing a reusable water bottle is strongly encouraged — it is one of the single best things you can do for the environment at the festival. We have free water refill stations at every major zone: near each stage, at the Food Village, at the Info Booth, and throughout the camping areas. The water is filtered and safe to drink directly. Branded Golden River Veil Fest reusable bottles are also available at the Merchandise Zone.
Colour-coded recycling stations are located every 50 metres throughout the festival site — you will never have to walk far to find one. Bins are separated into: Burnable waste (pink), Plastic (yellow), Cans & Bottles (blue), Food waste / compost (green), and Cardboard (brown). A fine of ¥5,000 may be issued to anyone caught littering. Our Eco Rangers patrol the site and are happy to help with sorting queries.
