YUKI TSUKINO
Yuki Tsukino emerged from Tokyo's underground music scene in 2019, self-releasing a four-track cassette of city pop ballads that quickly became a cult favourite on Japanese music blogs. Her debut album Neon Drift (2020) demonstrated a rare ability to blend the lush, bass-heavy warmth of 1980s Japanese city pop with contemporary electronic production — a sound that felt simultaneously nostalgic and completely of-the-moment.
Her 2022 album Seabreeze Protocol broke through internationally, earning placements in global playlists and collaborations with producers in London and Seoul. The record's lead single 「光の中で」(In the Light) clocked over 40 million streams and became the unofficial anthem of Japan's summer that year.
For 2026, Yuki has been teasing a new era — darker synthesizers, deeper basslines, and a visual direction that draws from Japanese mythological imagery. Her GRVF set promises to be the defining festival performance of her career.
